General Sir Henry Maitland Wilson, Supreme Allied Commander, Mediterranean Theatre, discusses the battle situation, using a map spread on the bonnet of his car, with the Commander of the Eighth Army, Lieutenant General Sir Oliver Leese, at Eighth Army Battle Headquarters in the Mignano area. The car carries the flags of Britain, the United States, and Poland.
