HM King George VI making a tour of inspection on board HMS MALAYA during a visit to the Home Fleet at Scapa Flow. He is just about to pass a 20 mm Oerlikon anti aircraft gun manned by Royal Marines. In the background can be seen one of MALAYA's twin 4 inch anti-aircraft guns, a crane and the former aircraft hangar now used for stowage and flexible use.
