Fairey Fulmar fighters on the flight deck of HMS FORMIDABLE part of the naval covering force for the Madagascar Operations. The covering force left from Colombo on 24 April 1942, arrived at the Seychelles to refuel on 1 May and after covering the operations at Madagascar returned to Mombasa on 10 May. Note the raised aerial masts on either side of the deck.
