HMS VICTORIOUS WAS LENT TO THE USN. 13 FEBRUARY TO 19 AUGUST 1943, WHILE THE BRITISH AIRCRAFT CARRIER WAS CO-OPERATING WITH THE UNITED STATES NAVY IN THE PACIFIC OCEAN. SHE WAS LENT TO THE US PACIFIC FLEET AT A TIME WHEN IT WAS TEMPORARILY SHORT.
