Object description
A heavily armed British WMIK Landrover provides forward reconnaissance and cover for 60 Close Support Squadron, 4 Logistic Supply Regiment RLC as it moves a resupply convoy of forty vehicles through dangerous desert conditions and towns populated with Taliban forces to Forward Operating Base Robinson. The convoy provided forward based troops with key supplies and ammunition for the forthcoming Operation SILICON, which would clear Taliban forces from the Sangin Area. FOB Robinson, an American base in the Sangin area of Helmand, overlooked a suspected opium smuggling route.
