Object description
Two agricultural workers operate their combine harvester on a sunny wheat field in Hampshire. The self-propelled harvester covers three processes in one: it cuts the corn, separates the wheat and pours it into sacks, and discharges the straw on the ground. One worker drives the vehicle, whilst the other deals with adjusting and filling the sacks. According to the original caption, because a tractor is not needed to pull the harvester, no damage is done to the crops and an entire field can be cultivated.
