Object description

Four members of HMT MAN O'WAR's football team wearing their kit as they get ready for their next conquest on board ship at Liverpool. Two other members of crew are with the men. The football team composed of members of the crew of the trawler holds the record of their base, twenty games played, nineteen won, and one drawn. Despite the discomforts of life on board at sea in their tiny ship, the crew when in harbour take on opposite teams from other ships - and win - this being their idea of resting.
