Object description

Scenes with a marching column on the North West Frontier of India: Indian photographer seated with two Indian civilians, possibly his assistants. Of interest is the diamond shaped cloth badge bearing the number 966, pinned to the righthand sleeve of the photographer's jacket. This probably identifys him as one of the local photographers often employed by the British forces to cover their activities in India.
