Images in this album include: series entitled 'Our Eastern Job' relating to an exhibition held at Charing Cross about the war against Japan, series entitled 'New Type of Brick' about the development of the 'Rhombrick' - a rhomboid-shaped brick which is easier to handle and stronger, a series of photographs of a meeting of young people - an AGM of some kind, series entitled 'Soviet Presentation' relating to the presentation of the Order of the Suvorov to Field Marshal Sir Alan Brooke, Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Harris and the Admiral of the Fleet Sir John Tovey at the Soviet Embassy on 16 May 1944, two photographs entitled 'Wounded Soldiers and Hospital Mending', featuring two wounded soldiers relaxing at Roehampton Hospital and a of elderly ladies using sewing machines to mend soldiers' socks, a photograph of a toddler sitting on the grass, a photograph of a mother and baby, series entitled 'Battle School for U Boat Hunters' following the work of the training vessel HMS WESTERN ISLES, series entitled ‘Naval Church Parade’ - various views on the way to and in church (photographs taken 'somewhere in Scotland'), series entitled 'India's Representative in War Cabinet Visits Agricultural Demonstration' which follows Sir Firoz Khan Noor at Oaklands Farm Institute in Hertfordshire, a photograph entitled 'Ex-Serviceman Taxi Driver' showing Edwin Surridge, who lost his leg in Fort Capuzzo in 1941, at the wheel of his taxi, photographs of 'Mrs Sew-and-Sew', the Make Do and Mend doll, a photograph of hand-drawn plans for the Rhom-Brick (see above 'New Type of Brick'), series entitled 'Prestwick Airport' following the work of the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) at Prestwick, including views of pilots and crew, aircraft, office work, and in the control tower, a series of photographs of salvage posters (bones needed for salvage, avoid wasting rubber) in situ on buildings and on Marble Arch, series entitled 'Army Post Office' following the work of GPO staff and ATS in a sorting office 'somewhere in the Midlands', series entitled 'Invasion Build Up' showing cargo being loaded onto ships at the dockside (see also album 112).
