Images in this album include: series entitled Britain Gives Clubs to US Seamen regarding an American Merchant Seamans Club in Cardiff (see also album 71), series Posters Go To War series of RSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) posters , including those encouraging women to cover their hair, workers to make sure that guards are in place on machinery and a reminder that goggles are to be worn, series entitled Essential Workers a series of photographs showing the work of various members of the ATS as office orderlies, house orderlies, and medical orderlies, a photograph showing how circulars have shrunk to conserve paper, series entitled New War Opens on a Factory Front showing members of the Medical Research Council X-raying factory workers as part of their research into tuberculosis, series of photographs about the repairing of boots and shoes, series of posed MoI photographs for use in an exhibition or pamphlet (possibly to encourage people to invest in National Savings, rather than keeping cash at home hiding money in teapots, vases, socks, and under floorboards, series entitled The Production of a Crown Film relating to HM Submarine TYRANT, includes a photograph of Jack Bryson (MoI photographer) taking a photograph (D 13221), series entitled RAF Holds Religious Brains Trust a question and answer session for RAF services personnel, series entitled Mrs Bugler Goes To War The Story of Her and Her Village a long series of photographs following Mrs Bugler in the village of East Dean on the South Downs: her house is open for soldiers to stay, and she runs a book club, also scenes of the village hall being used as first aid post and for amateur dramatics, good interior views of the parish church and the local pub (see also album 73).
