Images in this album include: series 'A Village Saves' - focus on the National Savings work done in an Oxfordshire village, including a good view of a Post Office interior and selling saving stamps to farmers, a policeman and various other people in the village - some good village scenes, including a whist drive, portraits of Mr P Le Marquand, Mr C R Probert, Mr L F Masson, and Mr W G Robinson, series of photographs of children trying on shoes sent to English Speaking Union and writing thank you letters, series showing a female assistant examiner measuring bomb slip releases in an aircraft factory, sequence of photographs showing the production of 'Parade' magazine by the Ministry of Information, including views of L M MacBride of the Publications Division of the MoI (in his Home Guard uniform) and Miss Marjorie Lloyd of the Middle East Dept of the MoI wearing gas masks, series of photographs of the 'Life Line' Exhibition about the Merchant Navy held at MoI HQ on 3 July 1941, portraits of sailors and of Mr H Clegg, also includes view of Santiago Bernardi (Argentine journalist) talking to a Free French Officer at the exhibition, series 'Training for War Work' female war workers using various machinery at the Chiswick training centre in Turnham Green, series 'Womens war work in Gateshead' - most are working on the manufacture of Bren guns, a photograph of serving men and civilians carrying gas masks', series of photographs of a mobile canteen given to Britain by Aden stationed in Bedford and manned by the WVS, photographs entitled 'Czechoslovak Army Celebrates Coming to Britain Anniversary' - includes Physical Jerks Tableau and volleyball, series of photographs of President Benes of Czechoslovakia including portraits, views of cabinet meetings and at home with his wife, short sequence entitled Seven Pairs of Tiny Boots - new shoes and boots for young children, courtesy of the English Speaking Union, a continuation of the sequence which can be found earlier in this album.
