Object description
Aircraft Navigation and Guidance: As the war advanced, radar was used to target weapons on board aircraft. Photo shows: An Avro Lincoln bomber equipped with .50mm machine guns fitted to the rear turret. These were aimed by a radar unit which is sited in a dome visible below their barrels.
