Vertical photographic reconnaissance view of part of Lubeck, Germany, following the significant raid of 28/29 March 1942. More than 400 tons of bombs, two-thirds of which were incendiaries, were dropped on the city, resulting in the destruction of a third of Lubeck's built up area. This view shows major damage caused to housing and factories across the Marienbrucke (top) in the St Lorenz district of the city.
