Object description
The Churchill Coalition Government 11 May 1940 - 23 May 1945: The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Anthony Eden in 1942. Eden was Foreign Secretary during the 1940-1945 coalition government and again in the 1951-1955 administration. He became Prime Minister in April 1955, but he was forced to resign on 9 January 1957 as his health was failing.
