I. Start of winter semester at Barcelona University. Minister of Education Ibanez Martin as Franco's representative arrives outside University and is greeted by two star general. Students stand aligned beside banner of Falangist Sindicato Español Universitario and are inspected by Martin. Church dignitaries give Falangist salute. Opening ceremony takes place inside large hall, where front seats are filled by members of the armed forces and church dignitaries.

On 150th anniversary of composer's death dilapidated house in Bertramhof is being renovated according to original plans "in order to have a working monument to his memory in the Protectorate". French painters and sculptors visiting Germany in order to become acquainted with contemporary plastic and graphic artists meet Professor Arno Breker, seen working in his studio on Force. Standing by Apollo Fountain horses, Charles Despiau, bearded Aristide Maillol and Paul Belmondo, together with painters Vlaminck and Van Dongen, chat with Breker. Leader of Jong-Dinaso Dr Edgar Lehembre presents "medals for faithfulness to several youths" to uniformed members of the youth section of the Flemish Fascist Dinaso movement. Boys in shorts and with banners then parade past Lehembre and other youth leaders.

VII. German forces prepare for winter on the Eastern Front. Animated map of Leningrad-Narva-Reval area introduces scene of construction of wooden icebreaker barriers to protect bridge over river from ice. Train carrying German reinforcements crosses bridge. New warm garments for soldiers arrive at the front. Men (Russian POWs?) load socks into trucks and provisions including meat and Tilsit cheese are unloaded for "the active forces before Leningrad". One trench is marked Bayern Hütte and a wooden hut is marked Münchner Haus SS Okt 1941 FP 32052. Wood is stacked for protection against the Russian winter. Infantry advance, houses blaze and Pak 37 fires. Tank ditches, wrecked armour and corpses in the snow represent traces of the Bolshevist defeat. One hundred kilometres from Moscow armour moves forward along "main roads in unbelievable condition". Vehicles struggle through thick mud and sludge and a tank pulls a truck through axle-deep morass.

IX. German occupation of Kharkov reveals Soviet slums. Animated map of Dnepropetrovsk area introduces aerial film of Kharkov's industrial area, said to be armaments works. Fieseler Storch lands in centre of the city. "Not far from the industrial palaces are the miserable huts of the workers. Without any social aid whatsoever they vegetated and often lived under conditions not fit for an animal", as film shows a hovel and lurking cat within sight of modern buildings.

X. Germans repair bridge over Dnieper. Nazi memorial commemorates date of rebuilding of Ostland Bridge (12-28 September 1941) by German sappers after it had been blown up by Russians. Swastika flies in foreground as Russians watch train pass over the railway bridge.

XI. Russian prisoners of war in the Dnieper sector. Columns of prisoners from the mighty annihilation battle east of the Dnieper file endlessly past camera. Many are not in military uniform and may be rounded up civilians rather than captured soldiers. Some are bearded and of Semitic appearance, picked out in close-up.

At start of parade by Odessa warriors King Michael decorates flags of victorious regiments and dubs Rumanian and German (Luftwaffe and Navy) officers knights of the Order of St Michael. Massive images of Hitler, Mussolini and "national leader" Marshal Antonescu are visible. King, Antonescu and Keitel as Führer's representative stand on review stand as Rumanian infantry, artillery Renault R-35(ZM) tanks and tankettes pass by followed by representative formations of the German Army, Luftwaffe and Navy.

Condor attacks British convoy, Focke-Wulf 200C-3 (Kampfgeschwader 40, based at Bordeaux-Mérignac) taxies before taking off on mission to "attack and disperse a British convoy in cooperation with U-boats". Camera on board records take-off, cockpit, crew member opening thermos flask, flight over enemy rocky coast and distant convoy. Side-gunner opens fire at distant British plane before Condor releases bombs near small ships. Further strafing and bombing attacks, but no signs of U-boats to which Condor reportedly signals.
