Unedited rushes for a film on French ski troops in the mountains and their use of carrier pigeons.

Full description

The shots, of which there are sometimes more than one take, are preceded by a number board, and appear in the following order: '11' Carrier Pigeons released from position on snow-covered mountainside (3 takes) '9' Ski troops remove skis, start to construct an igloo '7' A soldier skis to the entrance of the igloo and delivers a message (2 takes) '11' (more underexposed takes) '12' A soldier skis, holding a rifle in one hand, and with the baskets of two pigeons on his back '13' CU of the man's pack on the snow; a basket is opened to show the pigeon's specially braced harness '2' Clouds, alpine scenery, a unit of ski troops on the move '10' A closer shot of the unit moving.
