Papers (in English, French and Arabic) covering principally his service, while attached to the Egyptian army, commanding the Western Frontier Force during operations in Darfur, 1916, including dispatches, standing orders, routine orders, the proceedings of the Sudan Central Defence Bureau and correspondence, including detailed letters to and from the Governor General of Sudan and Sirdar of the Egyptian Army, Sir Reginald Wingate, with copies of Wingate’s correspondence with senior officials and important personages covering other theatres of war, which had been forwarded for information and containing references to Lord Kitchener and Marshal of the RAF Sir John Slessor, also papers relating to operations by 5th Mounted Brigade at Huj and Es Salt in Palestine (November 1917 and April – May 1918), papers relating to his Colonelcy of the 3rd Hussars and command of the 14th West Riding Battalion, Home Guard, service records and a privately printed biography by his sister.
