Ts memoirs (40pp) covering his experiences as a subaltern at Fort Stamford, Plymouth with 39 Siege Company Royal Garrison Artillery (RGA) and on an aerial observation course at Farnborough (1909 - 1911); in Aden on coastal defence and as ADC to the Governor (1913); in India with 70 Company RGA in Calcutta, No 8 Mountain Battery RGA at Quetta and Peshawar and with 25th Indian Mountain Battery on the North West Frontier (1912, 1914 - 1916); on the Western Front as a Captain with 325 Siege Battery RGA (May - July 1917), as a staff officer attached to HQ 15 Corps Heavy Artillery (from July 1917) and in command of 95 Siege Battery RGA, 90th Brigade during 1918; as a staff captain attached to the Baltic Military Mission and as Britain's military attache in Lithuania with some interesting insights into the local political and military situation (1919 - 1921); also: an article by him on the use of anti-aircraft units in North Africa and Italy (1943 - 1944), a diary principally summarising his military career (1909 - 1980), diary notes (5pp) made while in command of 1st Anti-Aircraft Group in France (September - December 1939), four notebooks relating to 7 Anti-Aircraft Division (c. 1940), 5 Anti-Aircraft Division (c. 1941) and 3 Anti-Aircraft Group (c. 1942) with sketch maps illustrating the deployment of units and lists of their personnel, five notebooks relating to Anti-Aircraft and coastal defence units in the Mediterranean (1943 - 1944), official service records and three letters written in 1963 by one of his fellow officers in 95 Siege Battery on the Western Front in 1918.
