Two pilot's flying log books covering his flying training in the United Kingdom (1926 - 1927), his service as an officer pilot at the RAF base Calafrana, Malta flying Fairey III Ds (1927 - 1928), in the United Kingdom (1930 - 1931) and at the RAF station Halfar, Malta and in the aircraft carrier HMS GLORIOUS (1931 - 1933) flying Fairey III Fs, as a flying instructor in the United Kingdom at RAF stations Cranwell, Digby and Gosport (1934 - 1938); on anti-submarine patrols over Home waters, flying Sunderlands and Walruses (September - October 1939); as commanding officer of No 206 Squadron, based on RAF Bircham Newton, flying Hudsons for general reconnaissance and occasional anti-shipping operations in Home waters and the North Sea (June 1940 - February 1941); as commanding officer of 295 Wing, based on Dakar, West Africa, flying Sunderlands and Liberators on anti-submarine patrols in the South Atlantic (January 1943 - January 1944); in command of 110 Wing, based on Croydon (September 1944 - October 1945); and his post-war flying in the United Kingdom and overseas (1945 - 1954); together with a folder of official papers covering his service, in the rank of Wing Commander, as Air Staff Officer, Dover Command (February 1941 - April 1942) with particular reference to air/sea rescue, the use of radar and operations against enemy shipping in the Dover Straits, measures against a possible enemy attack on Dover or Folkestone harbours, and the successful Channel dash of the German warships SCHARNHORST and GNEISENAU on 12 February 1942
