Ms letter 6pp (no date ?c.January 1915) written while serving in the 2nd Battalion The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) (22nd Brigade, 7th Division) to his sister describing in poor English the conditions in the line and his difficulty in writing to her, being forced to send the letter in an unused Princess Mary's Gift Box, together with the box complete with its original tobacco contents, 2 printed letters (June and December 1920) which accompanied the three medals he would have been awarded had he lived, his Scroll of Remembrance, the message from King George V which accompanied his bronze Memorial Plaque and his photograph taken during the Boer War.
