13 sub-files relating to the acquisition and creation of loans of Ships for the Museum. Consists of:
1) Admiral Hipper: Correspondence with North London Ship Model Society regarding details of a model of the Admiral Hipper, also with Admiralty on glazing of model, and memos on the model's construction from the DIrector of Naval Intelligence.
2) General: Correspondence regarding possible purchase of models of HMS Hood, Curacoa, Ajax, Nelson and Ramilles from JB Glossop. Also regarding purchase of Aretusa, Kent, Collingwood and Telemachus.
3) D-Day Landings: Memorandum to Bradley regarding proposed model of the D-Day landings, also a map of the D-Day coastline.
4) Models of Ajax and Graf Spee: Correspondence with Mr Finch regarding loan and offer of purchase of models of Hood and Graf Spee, and loan of model of Ajax
5) HMS Nelson: Correspondence regarding offer of HMS Nelson to the Museum by CW Horn, which the Museum turned down.
6) HMS Morpeth Castle: Correspondence regarding loan and return of model of HMS Morpeth Castle from Mr RL Miller
7) 105ft Motor Minesweeper: Correspondence regarding gift of model of Motor Minesweeper from the Fishing Boat Builders' Association
8) Model Trawler: Correspondence regarding transfer of a model trawler that was part of the Mining and DG exhibition at the Science Museum to the Museum on loan.
9) Model of Thames Barge: Correspondence regarding donation of a model of a Thames barge converted for invasion purposes to the Museum from the Association of Master Lightermen and Barge Owners
10) Rescue Tug 'Bustler': Correspondence regarding creation of name plates for model of Rescue Tug 'Bustler' on loan to the Museum from Henry Robb Limited.
11) Model of HMS Anguilla: Correspondence regarding donation of model of HMS Anguilla to the Museum by Captain Morrison Payne
12) Mr Hugh Oldham: Correspondence regarding bequest to Museum by Mr Oldham of HMS Colne and HM Torpedo Boat, correspondence with Mr Oldham regarding his list of naval losses during the Second World War, enquiries regarding ships badges and photographs, supply to Museum of books relating to ships, correspondence regarding possibility of repairing damaged ship models, list of ship models of ships launched between 1918 and 1939.
13) Brixham Trawler: Request from Esher War Savings Campaign for advice on best way to dispose of model of Brixham trawler to raise money for National funds.
