Object description

A member of the Voluntary Aid Detatchment (VAD) dresses the hand wound of a German prisoner at the dressing station at Abbeville, France, on 27 June 1917. He is guarded by two soldiers. The soldier to the right is holding his rifle with attached bayonet.
